First School of Objectivism in Athens! Call for Applications

The Aristotelian Center for the work of Rand and Objectivism (ACRO) in cooperation with the Balkan Objectivist Center and the Prometheus Foundation, have the pleasure of announcing the hosting of the first School of Objectivism in Athens!

John Galt School is named after the main character of Aynd Rand’s magnum opus, “Atlas Shrugged”, which was first published in 1957. Atlas Shrugged is the most erudite embodiment of the theory of Objectivism from Rand and the frontispiece of her novels, inspiring millions of readers worldwide.

JGS is an esteemed educational program established by the Balkan Objectivist Center in 2016 and has been welcomed by sixteen countries ever since. This year it will be held in our country for the first time.

We are looking for young, motivated people interested in philosophy, ethics, economy and politics, and fluent in English. The program is especially addressed to those who have a particular interest for classical liberalism and relevant streams of thought, such as Objectivism.

The participants will have the opportunity to be furnaced with Ayn Rand’s theory, the basic elements of her philosophy, and the impact of objectivistic ideas in today’s world. In addition there will be an emphasis on how philosophy and ideas can be implemented in one’s life for personal growth and professional success. This will be achieved by taking part in a complete program consisted of 8 lectures revolved around the ideas of reason and individualism, webinars and participation in workshops (book club). Participants will also receive plenty of relevant material such as related books and articles.

The lectures will take place in across four weekends within the months of October through November at KEFIM’s premises in Athens.

References will be handed out, upon completion, for participation in international conventions, as well as a certificate of participation.

You can find a more detailed program and secure your spot by submitting an application here.

The deadline for submission is the 30th of September 2019. Please note that the spaces are limited, so make sure you secure your registration early!
